MassDOT schedules public meetings on 5-year Capital Investment Plan update

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority are holding a series of public meetings around the state this month to discuss and solicit public input on their draft Capital Investment Plan update for the next five years.
 
The CIP is a multi-billion-dollar program that makes long-term, multimodal investments across the state. The plan covers all MassDOT highway and municipal projects, regional airports, rail and transit (including MBTA and regional transit authorities), and the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
 
The draft CIP update for fiscal 2019 through 2023 will be available at www.mass.gov/massdot/cip.
 
The meetings will be held on the following schedule:
 
• May 15, 6:30 p.m., Boston
Boston Centers for Youth and Families Auditorium, 5 Mildred Ave.
 
• May 16, 6 p.m., Worcester
Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission, UNUM Building, 1 Mercantile St.
 
• May 17, 6:30 p.m., Barnstable
Hyannis Transportation Center, 215 Iyannough Road
 
• May 17, 6:30 p.m., Springfield
Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, 60 Congress St.
 
• May 21, 6:30 p.m., Framingham
Nevins Hall, 150 Concord St.
 
• May 21, 6:30 p.m., Quincy
Quincy Central Middle School Auditorium, 875 Hancock St.
 
• May 22, 5:30 p.m., Pittsfield
Berkshire Regional Planning Commission, 1 Fenn St., Suite 201
