MMA Annual Business Meeting
Saturday, January 21, 2017
Ballroom A, Hynes Convention Center, 3rd floor
At the MMA’s Annual Business Meeting on Jan. 21, members will consider a resolution on the state-local fiscal partnership and one on planning and land use policies and practices. (See full text below.)
Each resolution was drafted by an MMA policy committee during the fall and approved by the MMA Board of Directors on Nov. 9.
The proposed resolutions are as follows:
• Resolution Ensuring a Strong and Enduring Fiscal Partnership Between Cities and Towns and State Government in Fiscal 2018 and Beyond, proposed by the MMA’s Fiscal Policy Committee
• Resolution Supporting a Strong and Productive Role for Cities and Towns to Promote Effective Planning and Land Use Policies and Practices, proposed by the MMA’s Policy Committee on Municipal and Regional Administration
The policy committees that drafted the resolutions are welcoming member comments through Dec. 30 so that committee members will be able to review any input before the Annual Business Meeting.
Municipal officials may submit any comments to the MMA’s Legislative Division at 1 Winthrop Square, Boston, MA 02110 or email@example.com.
