The town of Spencer seeks candidates for the position of Town Accountant. This position reports to the Town Administrator and is responsible for statutory and other duties of accounting, including maintaining and processing payroll, accounts payable, and compiling the annual Town budget.
Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, and three to four years of experience, preferably in municipal accounting work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Munis experience preferred.
This is a full-time four-day per week position and may include a few night meetings each year. Pay range is from $45.17 to $48.86 depending on qualifications and includes a benefits package, pension and paid time off plus vacation time
