The town of Sudbury is hiring for the role of Regional Public Health Nurse (RPHN). This is a full-time (35 hours/week), grant-funded position responsible for providing skilled professional public health nursing in a regional approach for the towns of Sudbury, Wayland, Weston, Concord, Carlisle, Lincoln, and Bedford (the Great Meadows Public Health Collaborative). Full-time is preferable, but part-time candidates will be considered.
The RPHN performs administrative and technical work in providing community health care services, including health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, health education, emergency and pandemic preparedness and coordination and related work. In addition to the individual needs of the resident, the RPHN develops, implements, and evaluates population-based educational programs and public health messaging to effectively address health/safety and health risks.
This role requires education/experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and least 4 years’ experience in public health nursing or community health nursing. Familiarity with emergency preparedness and school nursing programs, preferred.
The full FY26 pay range is $40.14 to $52.79/hour, starting pay based on qualifications.
