The grants include:
• $50,000 from the Marine Recreational Fisheries Development Fund to the towns of Truro, Barnstable and Chatham to support saltwater recreational fishing access improvement projects, such as boat launch repairs and signage directing anglers to a marine forecast report
• More than $1 million through the Division of Ecological Restoration to partnerships led by the Housatonic Valley Association, Buzzards Bay Coalition, Merrimack River Watershed Association, Charles River Watershed Association, Ipswich River Watershed Association, and Blackstone Watershed Collaborative to support river and wetland restoration, water quality improvement, and climate resilience
• More than $2.2 million through the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs’ Landscape Partnership Grant Program to projects in Worthington, Colrain, Heath and Wareham for multi-partner projects that strengthen ecological integrity, promote economies dependent on natural resources, and expand public outdoor recreation access
