Climate Beacon coastal summit is Oct. 28 in Boston

Climate Beacon, New England’s premier climate solutions conference, will host a coastal summit on Oct. 28 along Boston’s waterfront.

Coast will bring together people who build, fund and oversee the New England coast, including municipal managers, port authorities, offshore energy developers and marine trades, coastal ecologists, entrepreneurs, state agencies and community advocates.

​The summit agenda includes Local Lightning — a series of rapid-fire presentations from practitioners doing work up and down the coast — followed by policy and practice roundtables for off-the-record small-group conversations on the region’s critical coastal questions.

In the afternoon, a Lights from Afar panel will feature outside voices with proven approaches from other coasts and systems. It will feature hands-on workshop sessions.

Complimentary tickets are available for students, public servants, and community, youth, environmental justice, and small nonprofit organizations.
