Plympton is a charming, rural community in southeastern Massachusetts. Plympton’s most famous resident, Deborah Sampson, was born in town on Dec. 17, 1760. In 1782, she disguised herself as a man and joined the Fourth Massachusetts Regiment as Robert Shurtleff during the Revolutionary War.
