Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs on Oct. 1 opened the third round of the Drought Resiliency and Water Efficiency Grant Program, which provides awards of up to $50,000 for projects that support climate resiliency through reduced water usage and improved water loss control.
Projects eligible for funding include:
• Water loss control program development and implementation
• Water conservation/efficiency program development
• Outdoor water use efficiency improvements
• Drought management planning and plan development
Municipalities, public water suppliers, regional planning agencies, public schools, colleges and universities, and nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for the grants.
The application deadline is Nov. 12.
