Job Description

The Cape Cod Gateway Airport is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Airport Manager to lead the operation of a vital regional transportation hub. Reporting to the Airport Commission, the Manager oversees a dynamic team and a network of aviation and non-aviation tenants.

The Airport Manager is responsible for the daily operations, regulatory compliance, capital improvement planning, fuel and lease management, and community relations. Operating under the broad policy direction of the Airport Commission, the Manager ensures the airport follows all federal, state, and local requirements, while serving as the Airport’s primary liaison to the town of Barnstable, FAA, TSA, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management public/business administration, or related field preferred
  • More than 10 years experience in airport or municipal operations, including at least three in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, grant funding, and public budgeting processes
  • AAAE certification required within one year of start
  • Pilot license desirable but not required
  • Must be able to obtain Massachusetts Airport Manager’s License upon hire

The salary range of this position is $180,103 to $215,240 depending on qualifications and experience and includes an excellent benefits package.
