Job Description

Working under the direct supervision of the General Line Foreman, the successful applicant will be trained to safely and efficiently construct, maintain, repair and operate LELD’s overhead and underground 25 kV electrical distribution system.

Minimum Qualifications:

The preferred candidate should possess the following characteristics:

  • Must have the ability to work outdoors in all seasons for extended periods of time
  • Must be available to support the Department in after-hours trouble call emergency situations
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work safely with others and follow OSHA, NESC and APPA safety procedures pertaining to electric utility work
  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts Class D drivers license
  • Must obtain a Massachusetts Class A CDL within 18 months of hire
  • Must obtain a Massachusetts 1B/2A hoisting license within 12 months of hire
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and CORI check
  • Willingness to relocate to a 40-minute radius within 12 months of employment
  • An understanding of electrical theory/power systems preferred

Salary and Benefits:

  • Starting pay $34.99/hr.
  • 4-day work week, M-TH 6:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • 9 Paid holidays & 4 floating holidays
  • Enrollment in the Middlesex County Retirement System
  • Health & Dental insurance, 70/30 split with Town of Littleton
