The town of Hudson seeks a detail-oriented and highly motivated professional to join our Finance Department as the Assistant Finance Director/Assistant Town Accountant. This position plays a key role in supporting the town’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key responsibilities include managing the town’s accounting functions, such as general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll; preparing and analyzing financial reports; and collaborating with department heads and staff to provide financial guidance. Essential qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in accounting, strong knowledge of Massachusetts municipal finance laws and GAAP, proficiency in financial software such as Munis and Vadar, and excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
