The town of Northborough is seeking a motivated and technically skilled professional to join our team as Assistant MIS Director. This full-time position plays an important role in supporting the town’s technology infrastructure and helping staff across departments work efficiently through reliable systems and responsive support.
In this role, you will help oversee the day-to-day operation of town computer systems while providing hands-on technical support to end users. Responsibilities include help desk support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network access and permissions, implementing software updates and system improvements, and assisting with user training. The position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and applications that support municipal services across the organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting users with varying levels of technical experience, and contributing to projects that improve how local government serves the community. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who can prioritize tasks effectively, work independently, and communicate clearly with employees, vendors, and public officials.
The annual salary range for this Grade 5 position is $79,420 – $103,242, DOQ, with comprehensive benefits.
