The Winchester Contributory Retirement System is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Assistant Retirement Administrator to join our team. This full-time, 35-hour-per-week position supports the Retirement Administrator and plays a key role in serving town employees and retirees. Salary range is $65,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience, and includes a full benefits package.
The ideal candidate brings strong administrative experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and public service. Responsibilities include assisting members and retirees, maintaining records, managing reception and office tasks, processing buybacks and service verifications, supporting compliance activities, and providing assistance during Board meetings. This role works closely with town departments and requires staying current with PERAC regulations.
Qualifications: • Three to five years of administrative experience • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information • Familiarity with M.G.L. Chapter 32 and PERAC regulations (or willingness to learn)
