Job Description

The town of Rehoboth is seeking qualified applicants for a Full-Time position of Assistant Town Clerk. The Town Clerk is seeking a second Assistant Town Clerk to help distribute the workload in the office. Under the direction of the Town Clerk in strict accordance with applicable provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, town bylaws and federal laws and regulations and office procedures, performs a variety of responsible administrative functions; most work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion in the interpretation and application of laws, regulations, and procedures.

Details:

▪    36 hours per week

▪    Town Offices hours: Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. – 12 noon

▪    AFSCME Union rates $25.84 – $28.12 (FY2026 Rate-7-1-25 – 6-30-26); $26.62 – $28.96 (FY2027 Rate-7-1-26 – 6-30-27)

Requirements:  Must be bondable; Notary Public Commission preferred.

Education and Experience:

  1. Associates Degree.
  2.  Two years of related experience, preferably in a public sector function.
  3.  Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
