Business Manager

Responsible for the management of accounts, finances and business operations of the Department of Public Works. Acts as advisor to the Commissioner, Superintendent and DPW division managers with matters relating to resolving financial problems, coordinating activities and pertinent departmental information. Directly supervises DPW water billing office staff and meter repair staff including the planning and staffing of work. Prepares budget and monitors monthly for DPW Commissioner, Superintendent and division managers. Responsible to have working knowledge of SWD billing, permits, procurement regulations, council orders, local state and federal laws, rules and regulations, union contracts, personnel and departmental policies and Munis system.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or seven years of finance experience required, and at least three years of supervisory experience. Working knowledge of water/sewer billing and rate studies. Please contact Human Resources for a complete job description and entrance requirements.

Salary range: $110,000 to $127,000
