Summary: The City Engineer is responsible for administration and management of all activities of the DPW Engineering Division. Serves as an engineering advisory staff member to the DPW Commissioner’s Office and other city planning development boards, committees and commissions and may serve as approval authority on the laying out of sewers, drains water mains and streets. This position is included in the city of Taunton Management Association (COTMA).
Education, Training and Experience:
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related technical field and registration as Professional Engineer in Massachusetts. Experience requirements include five years of progressive engineering experience preferred, including at least three years of supervisory experience. Direct municipal government experience is preferred.

Salary Range: COTMA Step 1: $2,312.73 to Step 10: $2,763.92 weekly, 40 hours per week, exempt
