The town of Hull is seeking a creative, organized, and community-focused professional to serve as its part-time Communications and Community Engagement Specialist. This position offers an exciting opportunity to help inform, engage, and connect residents by developing and delivering clear, timely, and accessible communications across multiple platforms.
Reporting to the Town Manager, the Communications and Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for supporting town-wide communications, public engagement, media relations, and special projects. Under the direction of the Town Manager’s Office, the Specialist works collaboratively with town departments, elected and appointed boards and committees, residents, members of the media, and community organizations to enhance transparency, promote civic engagement, and strengthen public awareness of town initiatives, programs, and services. Schedule: Part-time position averaging 19 hours per week. The work schedule is flexible; however, regular evening meetings and occasional weekend events are an expected part of the position from time to time. The successful candidate must also be available, as needed, to assist with emergency communications and time-sensitive public information during emergencies or significant town events.
Compensation: $28,000-$30,000 annually. This position is not benefit eligible.
