The town of Concord is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Data Lister to join its Assessing Division. Under the direction of the Town Assessor, the Data Lister collects, verifies, and maintains property data used in the assessment of real estate. Conducts field inspections, sketches, updates property record cards, and assist in maintaining accurate assessment database in accordance with Mass General Laws and guidance from Department of Revenue.
The regular schedule for this position includes a total of 15 hours per week over two days per week.
Ideal candidates should have an Associate’s Degree in a related field and three or more years of related assessing/appraising data collection experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong organizational, communication, and mathematical skills are required. A valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle during the workday are required; mileage is reimbursed.
Pay range $25.00 – $40.00per hour, starting pay rate depending on qualifications. Appointment of the final candidate will be contingent upon the results of pre-placement conditions including criminal and motor vehicle record checks, a physical exam, and a drug screening. Costs for these pre-placement requirements will be borne by the town.
