The town of Barnstable (population 49,000) is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the full-time position of the Director of Assessing to work under the administrative supervision of the Town Finance Director. The Director of Assessing is responsible for the professional, administrative, technical and supervisory work related to the valuation and re-valuation of all real and personal property within the town in accordance with Department of Revenue regulations and related Massachusetts General Laws.
The salary range, depending on experience, is $132,334 – $158,151, annually based upon forty (40) hours a week, fifty-two (52) weeks a year. There is also a very generous benefits package, including paid time off, professional development and health insurance (paid at 70% of the premiums) in accordance with current Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is eligible for overtime.
