The town of Granby (Pop. 6,344) is accepting applications for a Director of Assessments.
This position works under the general administrative and policy direction of the Board of Assessors. The Director of Assessments oversees the town’s assessing functions in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Department of Revenue ( DOR ) requirements, and locally
adopted policies of the Board of Assessors in the town of Granby.

The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and self motivated assessment professional who combines strong analytical ability with sound judgment and exceptional communication skills. They will bring demonstrated experience in property valuation, proficiency with CAMA systems and Massachusetts assessing laws, and the ability to interpret complex data with accuracy and consistency.

The candidate will excel at working independently, managing multiple deadlines, and providing courteous, solutions oriented service to taxpayers, colleagues, town government and appointed boards. They will also possess the professionalism, integrity, and collaborative mindset needed to represent the Assessors’ Office effectively in all interactions

This is a 35 hour per week salaried position with compensation range between $70,000 and $85,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Core office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. – noon, with evening and weekend hours as necessary. Subject to Change.
