The town of Tyngsborough seeks qualified applicants for the position of Director of Elder Services which is an exempt position covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
The position is appointed by the Town Manager and performs professional administrative, and social service work in developing and administering services to Tyngsborough’s elder citizens and their families. The position also manages the Center for Active Living in coordination with the Council on Aging and Town Manager. This position requires sound initiative, judgment, and ability to work effectively and independently with the public and other officials. A full job description is available at tyngsboroughma.gov.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in the field of gerontology, human or social services, social work, or related field required (master’s degree Preferred);
Three years of increasingly responsible related experience in elder program administration.
Valid Driver’s License; and any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Anticipated Salary Range: $74,500 to $80,000 DOQ
