Foxborough is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking professional to serve as its next Director of Land Use and Economic Development. This executive leadership position guides the town’s planning, zoning, conservation, building, and economic development functions while shaping Foxborough’s long-term growth and development strategy.

Reporting to the Town Manager, the Director serves as the town’s chief land use and economic development official, providing strategic leadership on redevelopment initiatives, permitting, zoning administration, and implementation of the Town’s Master Plan. The successful candidate will collaborate with elected and appointed boards, residents, developers, regional partners, and municipal departments to promote sustainable growth, strengthen the local economy, and preserve Foxborough’s unique character. The position oversees the Planning, Conservation, and Building Departments and serves as a member of the Town’s executive leadership team.

Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, economic development, or a closely related field, with seven to ten years of progressively responsible experience, including supervisory responsibility. Municipal experience and AICP certification are preferred. The anticipated hiring range is $120K to $130K, depending on qualifications and experience. The position has a full FY2027 salary range of $120K to $151K (top end 15-year step), along with an excellent municipal benefits package.
