The town of Wrentham is seeking collaborative and experienced candidates for the position of Director of Planning and Economic Development to lead a highly skilled and detail-orientated department of Planning and Economic Development. This position plays a key role in implementation of the town of Wrentham Master Plan, implementing short/long term land use plans, oversight of ongoing community development efforts and addressing land use issues ensuring smart growth for the community.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, diplomatic, and able to manage multiple priorities while working effectively with boards/committees, appointed/elected officials, staff, and the public.

Bachelor’s degree in planning or a related field required; master’s degree and AICP certification preferred. Minimum of five years’ experience of progressively responsible experience in land use planning or economic development. Municipal planning experience preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
