Director of South County Emergency Medical Service

The town of Deerfield, acting as the fiduciary for a three-town regional emergency medical service, seeks a qualified, motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Director for the South County Emergency Medical Service (SCEMS). SCEMS is a third-line emergency service operating in southern Franklin County supported by the towns of Deerfield, Whately, and Sunderland, and overseen by a Board of Oversight (BoO). The BoO membership includes representatives from all three towns. Duties include, but are not limited to patient care, overseeing Basic and Advanced Life Support, reporting of NEMSIS data to MA OEMS, budget administration, personnel management, billing procedures, and reporting. ICS/NIMS certification preferred. Residency in or near Deerfield within the first year of appointment is required. Salary range of $85,000-$110,000.
