The Town of North Reading Water Department is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time (40 hours/week) Maintenance Craftsman position.
This position performs skilled and manual labor related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of the Town’s water distribution system and other public works infrastructure. Duties include operating light, medium, and heavy equipment; maintaining water mains, services, hydrants, and meters; responding to emergency situations; collecting water samples; and supporting a variety of public works projects.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; 3-5 years of related experience; valid Class B CDL; Grade 1 Massachusetts Water Distribution License or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
