The town of Dartmouth is seeking a part-time, benefit eligible, Electrical Inspector for 30 hours per week. This position is responsible for technical and inspection work related to the enforcement and interpretation of the Massachusetts state electrical code. Work involves frequent contact with contractors, builders, electricians and other members of the building community, other towns departments and boards, property owners, and the general public.
High school diploma and five years’ experience as a journeyman electrician or master electrician; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough knowledge of wiring theory and practices and of state and local laws and regulations pertaining to electrical work. Massachusetts master electrician’s license required.
The salary range for this position is $29.54-$38.44 per hour. Open until filled.
