The town of Wellesley Department of Public Works seeks an Executive Assistant (part-time or full-time, up to 40 hours/week) to support the Director of Public Works. This position manages the Director’s office, providing high-level administrative support while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and independent judgment.
Key responsibilities include calendar management, meeting coordination and minutes, customer service, contract and records management, correspondence, website updates, payroll/timekeeping support, employee records, and workers’ compensation and insurance claim processing.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, three to five years of executive assistant or related experience, strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
The anticipated hiring range is $35.50–$40.65/hour, with a full salary range of $35.50–$47.84/hour, depending on qualifications. The town offers an excellent benefits package, including health insurance, paid leave, and retirement.
