Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
This position provides direct assistance to the General Manager regarding the daily operations of the Mansfield Municipal Electric Department is responsible for developing, directing, and implementing all public communications, public relations, marketing and promotions. This role shall work and communicate effectively with the Board of Commissioners, all employees of Mansfield, and community members. Occasionally required to work beyond normal hours.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on marketing and commmunications, plus five to seven years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public utility environment. Proficiency in graphic design software, video editing, word processing, spreadsheet software applications, customer information systems, and social media is highly desirable. Others with equivalent combination of education and administrative experience will be considered.
Licenses/Certificates: Massachusetts Class D driver’s license.
Knowledge/Abilities/Skills: Excellent customer service, organization, as well as written and oral professional communication skills are necessary in this working environment. Ability to work independently to prioritize goals, targets, and meet deadlines. Person shall have ability to multi-task to successfully accomplish the objectives of this position in accordance with Department policies and procedures.
Non-Union, salary ranges from $90,000 to $125,000
