Brockton Public Schools is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support budget development, financial reporting, and long-range fiscal planning. This 12-month position offers a salary range of $75,000–$95,000.
Responsibilities include preparing financial reports for the School Committee and regulatory agencies, performing reconciliations and data validation, conducting variance analysis, maintaining ledgers, supporting audits, developing multi-year projections, and monitoring budget performance. The role also supports grant compliance, donor accounting through the Brockton Educational Fund, position control, and collaboration with Human Resources and Payroll. Experience with financial modeling, automation, and streamlining reporting processes is highly valued.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, and at least three years of financial analysis or similar experience. Candidates must demonstrate advanced Excel skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree (may substitute for one year of experience), MUNIS experience, knowledge of Massachusetts Chapter 30B procurement law, public school finance familiarity, and experience with AI-driven workflows or automation.
