The city is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Analyst to join the Administration and Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking for a flexible, part-time municipal position.
The Financial Analyst will process and verify invoices and payment requests, maintain vendor records, respond to vendor inquiries, and support Accounts Payable warrant processing. Responsibilities also include reviewing 1099 eligibility, collecting W-9 forms, preparing annual 1099 filings, reconciling Police and Fire Detail receivables, monitoring Chapter 90 and other special revenue and grant funds, entering invoices into the city’s accounting system, and assisting with annual audits.
Qualifications: Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required. Municipal finance experience is a plus. Candidates should have strong computer and spreadsheet skills, excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
