The towns of Sutton and Douglas seek a full-time Conservation Agent. The Agent will serve both communities under the terms of an inter-municipal agreement. The towns comprise just under 72 square miles of land supporting a population of almost 19,000 people. Both communities are growing faster than the state average and contain significant, interconnected protected resources. This is a salaried (FLSA exempt), benefited position. The Agent will work from each Town Hall no less than 16 hours per week and will have the benefit of a town-owned vehicle for travel in and around the two communities. While the typical work week is four days, the Agent is expected to attend Conservation Commission meetings in person. The employee will be based, for legal purposes such as benefits and compensation, in the town of Douglas. Starting salary will be $82,244. For a full job description, please visit www.douglas-ma.gov.
