The Groveland Police department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Police Lieutenant. This is a great opportunity to advance your career in law enforcement and make a difference in your community. A one-year probationary period applies for new hires and six months period for current department members. The Lieutenant is third in charge and serves as a senior command officer responsible for supervising personnel, managing departmental operations, developing policy, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and accreditation standards, and assisting the Chief of Police with the administration and leadership of the department.
The Lieutenant is expected to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate strong leadership abilities, and maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity while supporting the department’s mission and community policing initiatives.
