Full-Time Police Officer

The Townsend Police Department is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Police Officer.

Minimum qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Testing requirements:

• Ability to pass a written, physical agility, and assessment test in addition to an extensive background check.

Salary:

• Salary range for FY25 is $58,065 to $75,996 (commensurate with experience) with a very competitive benefit package. Education incentive pay of 5% of base pay for associate, 10% for bachelor degree, 12.5% for master’s/terminal degree.
