The town of Canton is seeking qualified candidates for a Groundskeeper Maintenance Worker position in the town of Canton’s Parks and Recreation department. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of athletic fields, equipment and town owned land. Also oversees ice rink operations and operates the Zamboni machine; collects fees, sharpens skates and prepares the rink for skating and hockey games.
40 hours per week, benefits eligible, non-exempt, AFSCME Union position
Hourly Rate: $28.87- $29.30
Schedule During Ice Rink Operations (September to mid-March): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday off.
Schedule during non-Ice-Rink Operation season (mid-March to August): Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
