Job Description

The town of Marion is seeking a qualified, experienced, and community-oriented professional to serve as Harbormaster/Marine Resource Officer. The Harbormaster/Marine Resource Officer is the leader of Marion waterways, who is a liaison with the Marion boating community, the Marion marine businesses and the citizens. This position is responsible for the administration, supervision, and enforcement of all federal, state, and local laws, bylaws, and regulations governing the harbor and waterways. The Harbormaster/Marine Resource Officer operates under the direction of the Chief of Police and works in close coordination with public safety agencies to ensure safe, lawful, and efficient use of the community’s waterways. This is a full-time (exempt) position with the salary range of $85,902 – $106,808, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Generous benefit package available.
