Health and Human Services Director

Northborough seeks a highly motivated and dynamic individual to fill the new full-time position of Health and Human Services Director. This position will serve as a public health leader for our newly created Health and Human Services (HHS) Department, a team of professionals who work diligently to meet the community’s diverse needs through planning, directing, and managing a variety of health and human service programs. The HHS Department is comprised of multiple divisions, including public health, environmental health, school health, social services, and youth services. Each division takes on the challenge of educating the public, enforcing codes, and responding to the immediate needs of our community.

Requires a master’s degree in public health, social work, public administration, or a related field and five years of progressive responsibility in health, social services, or a related field, including in a leadership or managerial capacity; or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Demonstrated experience in program development, strategic planning, and community engagement is essential. Must thoroughly understand state and local health and human services regulations and policies. Anticipated hiring range between $95,757 to $124,475, DOQ, with comprehensive benefits. AA/EOE
