The town of Paxton has an opening for a Heavy Equipment Operator 1 in the Department of Public Works. The person hired will operate heavy equipment, CDL trucks, and perform manual labor work as required for all DPW construction, maintenance, and repair projects, as well as plowing, sanding and all other work as required. This position is required to be part of an on-call rotation and is part of a Union bargaining agreement.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid CDL Class B (air brake endorsement) and an MA Hoisting License 2B. Experience with digging around utilities and in the roads is preferred. Hourly pay range between $25.19 to $29.21, depending on experience. Position is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
