Job Description

The town of Sturbridge is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time Housing Coordinator within the Planning department. This position is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and promoting programs, projects, and initiatives that address the need for adequate and affordable housing for low- and moderate-income households, seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and the local workforce.

The Housing Coordinator provides staff support to the Affordable Housing Trust, administers the town’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund, and leads implementation and periodic updates of the Housing Production Plan. The position reports to the Town Planner and operates with a high level of independence.

Qualified candidates should have at least three years of experience in housing, government administration, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree in government, business, planning, or a related discipline is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience with affordable housing is desirable.

Hourly pay $30.00–$35.00; schedule averages 10–15 hours weekly.
