Job Description
The town of Oak Bluffs seeks an experienced and collaborative professional as its Human Resources Director. Reporting to the Town Administrator, this position is responsible for all municipal human resources administration, including recruitment and retention, employee and labor relations, collective bargaining support, personnel policy development, contract administration, workers’ compensation, and compliance with employment laws.
Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in human resources, public administration, or a related field and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible human resources management experience. Municipal and union labor relations experience is strongly preferred. Thorough knowledge of employment law, personnel administration, labor relations, and HR best practices required.
Salary Range: $47.72–$57.60/hour, DOQ, plus an excellent municipal benefits package.
