The town of Boxborough is seeking a reliable, safety-minded, and community-oriented individual to serve as a Local Transit Operator. This position provides an important service to residents by helping them access appointments, shopping, programs, and other community destinations.

Responsibilities include safely transporting residents on Boxborough Connects routes, supporting Council on Aging transportation services, providing excellent customer service, collecting fares, maintaining trip records, and conducting daily vehicle inspections.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a clean driving record; strong interpersonal and communication skills; and minimum age of 21 per MART policy. MART training is provided.

Position Details:

• Part-time with per diem scheduling
• $24.51–$25.75/hour
• Union position
• Ongoing training provided
• Open until filled

Successful candidates must complete required background, physical, and drug screening.
