Maintenance Laborer

Job Description

The Norwood Housing Authority is seeking an energetic and dependable candidate to assume a role in our Maintenance department as a Maintenance Laborer. This position requires the ability to perform skilled, semi-skilled and other diversified duties in connection with custodial, janitorial, and general support functions of the maintenance department and/or general maintenance and repair support of buildings, grounds and equipment. Job duties include but are not limited to: landscape maintenance, sweeping, raking and snow removal. Janitorial duties will include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, windows, floors, etc. This position will also include duties associated with apartment turnover, such as heavy cleaning, mechanical repairs, and cleaning of light and plumbing fixtures. The ability to lift items up to 75lbs is required. A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is also required. Incumbent will be required to obtain a valid 2A/1C hoisting license and a valid Pesticide Certification/License with one year of hire. A full job description is available on the NHA website.
