The town of Hopkinton seeks a full-time Maintenance Mechanic.

Salary: $31.54/hr to $32.18/hr, depending on qualifications and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Competitive Leave and Benefits, including pension

Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (40-hr workweek)

Initial and random drug and alcohol screening is a condition of employment

This position performs skilled maintenance and repair work on all standard and specialized town equipment and vehicles. This position also performs skilled manual work as well as operating heavy equipment for construction, maintenance, and repair projects for the DPW. Participates in snow and ice operations. Overtime is a requirement of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, and Experience

Equivalent to a high school diploma; three to five years of related work experience as a mechanic at the journeyman level (with experience in the repair and maintenance of both light and heavy motorized equipment) or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
