Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The city of Lowell is seeking qualified, experienced, and energetic candidates for the position of Maintenance Mechanic I in the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Maintenance Mechanic I will report to the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor and Ensure proper maintenance of Wastewater Treatment Facility and Collection System in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner complying with all regulations by performing preventative maintenance and repairs to all mechanically related equipment at the facility and perform collection related duties, including troubleshooting. Commercial Drivers License, Hoisting licenses, and all other essential licenses commensurate with the job duties, must be obtained within one year of appointment. Required to have a high school education or GED due to the nature of the equipment and system mechanics working with and within; Wastewater Operator License, Collection License preferred. The salary range is $29.223(min) to $36.6726(max) per hour; 40hrs/week.
