The town of Concord is seeking candidates with excellent problem solving and communication skills to join our exceptional public safety team as Police Officers. Our community-oriented policing policy is committed to accountability, customer service, ethical action, excellence and teamwork. We currently have two openings within the department.
Applicants must have received certification from (or be currently attending) a full-time police officer training academy recognized by the Municipal Police Training Committee. Out-of-state applicants: contact MPTC for eligibility requirements (Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee. Position requires equivalent to two years of college; Bachelor’s degree in related field or public safety experience preferred. Must have ability to obtain and maintain MA License to carry firearms and be eligible for POST certification.
Salary range: $35.70 to $40.84 per hour ($74,265.96 to $84,954.06 annually), based on qualifications and experience. Additional pays/stipends including educational incentive, shift differentials for evening/nighttime shifts, an annual clothing allowance, specialty pay for certain positions and longevity payments.
