Full-Time Police Officer
The Tyngsborough Police department is seeking a highly motivated, community-oriented, and service-minded individual to join our team as a full-time police officer. The department consists of 27 full-time police officers, 10 special police officers, and 8 communications specialists serving approximately 13,000 residents in the Merrimack Valley.
Police officers perform a wide range of patrol, investigative, traffic enforcement, community policing, and other law enforcement duties. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license; be eligible for enrollment in or have successfully completed an MPTC-approved full-time police academy; meet applicable Massachusetts POST Commission requirements; and possess the communication, judgment, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
The salary range is $59,389.48 to $93,813.48, commensurate with experience and education. Additional compensation opportunities include shift differential, longevity pay, clothing allowance, special event details, and overtime assignments. The Town also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off and health insurance.
