POSITION: The Littleton Police Department will be conducting a selection process for the appointment of two full-time Police Patrol Officers.

GENERAL SUMMARY: A police officer for the Littleton Police department is responsible for the appropriate response to emergency and non-emergency calls received in the Communications Call Center and ensuring the safety and security of the citizens and the property of the town. Scope of responsibility includes motor vehicle enforcement, criminal law enforcement, medical assists, investigations, traffic control and general calls for service. Police Officers are responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures relevant to the operation of the MPAC Accredited Littleton Police department.

Candidates for this position must possess POST certification or be in the process of obtaining certification from an approved full-time Massachusetts Police Training Council Academy, or equivalent, a High School diploma as well as a minimum of an associate degree. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The position of Full-time permanent Police Officer is an hourly position. The salary range for this position is $30.83-$37.56 depending on experience. The following additional benefits: Educational Incentive equivalent to Full-Quin percentages, BWC Stipend, shift differential, OIC Pay, Night/Weekend/Holiday Detail Rates, 12 Paid Holidays, Uniform Allowance, Comp Time Allowed, Swaps Allowed, On-Duty Fitness Program, Specialty NEMLEC Units.
