The town of Littleton is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time 40 hour/week, benefits eligible Program Coordinator position in the Parks, Recreation, and Community Education Department. Duties include overseeing the planning, budgeting, and organization of the town’s Park, Recreation, and Community Education programs. Recruits, interviews, selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates five to forty-five youth program counselors each season: depending on the number of program participants. Ensures proper certification levels for all staff. This includes instructing Red Cross courses for CPR, AED, and First Aid for Professional Rescuers.

Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation, or related field; experience in developing and scheduling a variety of enrichment programs; experience in municipal government; one to three years’ experience in the recreation field including one year in a supervisory capacity; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. CPR/AED and First Aid Certified. Other American Red Cross certifications such as Health and Safety Instructor or WSI/Lifeguarding preferred. This position will be subject to a thorough background check including references and driving history, drug/alcohol testing, and a physical exam.
