Position Overview

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and administration of municipal programs, including recreational events, and facilities, which may include the Everett Leonard Pool. The position requires a high level of independent judgment, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality, community-focused recreational services. The coordinator serves as a key point of contact for residents, vendors, and town departments and plays an integral role in enhancing community engagement through recreation programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and oversee recreational programs, events, and activities
  • Coordinate operations of recreational facilities, including the Everett Leonard Pool
  • Promote programs through social media, town website, and outreach efforts
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and community inquiries
  • Assist in recruitment, scheduling, and oversight of seasonal staff (e.g., lifeguards)
  • Support budget tracking, invoice processing, and program-related financial activities
  • Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and town departments
  • Support maintenance coordination and identify facility safety needs
