Program Manager – Energy Projects

Status: FLSA Exempt, Non-Union , 40 hours per week (additional hours may be required as needed)

Locations: Norwood, Sharon

Salary: FY26, Grade 7NU $44.43 – $47.05 per hour for steps 1-3 (salary range exceeds hiring range). Additional 5% Differential for Master’s Degree

This position leads efforts in Norwood and Sharon to identify, fund, implement, and monitor energy efficiency and renewable energy projects at municipal facilities. This shared position requires partial remote and in-person work at both locations and supervises one to two part-time staff while offering some hybrid flexibility.

Essential Functions:

Administers Green Communities, energy efficiency, and renewable energy projects;

Manages grants and funding

Researches and recommends energy technologies;

Communicates with stakeholders and represents the towns at community, regional, and national events;

Manages Renewable Energy Certificates and tracks climate goals;

Develops energy education and outreach programs.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s in public administration, urban planning, environmental studies, engineering, or related field;

Three to five years’ experience in energy efficiency/renewable energy programs.

Certification preferred: CEM, BOC, or LEED.

Grant management experience required.
