Job Description

The city of Peabody is seeking a full-time Public Health School Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing services within the public school system. Responsibilities include student health assessments, medication administration, emergency care, health counseling, maintaining student health records, communicable disease prevention, state-mandated health screenings, and collaboration with school personnel, families, and healthcare providers to promote a healthy school community.

Qualifications:

  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
  • Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education School Nurse Licensure preferred, or eligibility to obtain licensure within one year of hire.
  • Experience in school nursing, pediatrics, community health, or family practice preferred.

Compensation: $60,924–$89,232 annually, depending on qualifications, education, experience, and licensure status. This is a full-time, school-year position (190 days) with excellent municipal benefits.
